Weather: Feels like summer!
Another day much the same as every other we've had for the past two months. It's been such a long time now just staying at home.
As the weather was just amazing again, we spent a lot of time in the garden. We took Tabby out on his leash for fresh air and exercise. He spends some time in between walks in the garden, napping in the main bedroom while we have the doors open to the garden. He doesn't seem to mind, he has everything he needs there plus an open window now that we have a screen there. Not that he always chooses to be beside the fresh air, he often just sleeps on the floor somewhere. While the weather has been so nice, he's been out with us two to three times a day. I was worried before starting taking him out on his leash, that he would start nagging and annoying us to take him out, but (touch wood!) he hasn't done any of that. And while he enjoys exploring outside or just lying in the grass, he is often ready to come back indoors before we call him in. I would love to just let him lounge around on the deck whenever he chooses to, but even though we previously had cats who came and went as they pleased, I can't imagine letting Tabby wander into other peoples gardens.
Anyway, what else did we do today... we had a swim in the jacuzzi at lunch time. Andre still needs to keep his leg dry which he cut with the bike a week and a half ago so no jacuzzi for him unfortunately. A little bit of sewing today, we're in the process of making the Barbies a picnic blanket and Isabella has 'designed' a picnic bag for their food which she has taken to her room to sew in the morning.
Reading, spelling and hand writing practice went well on day two of the half term holiday.
Nothing else to report really, besides doing laundry and a little bit of gardening as we managed to squeeze a little bit more into the green garden waste bin before collection day tomorrow.
Now that Isabella is confident in picking Tabby up, he got put into her dolls pram. She does complain about him being heavy, but he has some more growing to do still! Currently 4.5kg.
And since we didn't take any other photos, here's a video from a while ago. Andre has been doing 3D printing and Isabella has been doing the decorating. Here's one of their projects: phone stands, which didn't really hold a phone very well, but works to hold her iPad if you use all four of them at the same time! Still, kept her busy crafting for a while. (Link below picture.)
Tabby is so 'n geduldige kat!
