Weather: Sunny, but windy
Isabella and I started the day again with a bike ride. We got ourselves a little lost looking for the pond we found the day before, and in the end on the way home realised how easy it would have been to find if we had carried on straight with the path we were on! We've started packing a little snack to have on our bike ride of banana muffins.
One of Isabella's school tasks were to practice a running stitch and instead of just sewing it in a straight line on a piece of fabric, she made this cute bunny. She also sewed on the little flower button herself and named her bunny Bunting.
After finishing bunny Bunting we also made this flower using a running stitch which we then pulled into a ruffle and sewed onto a hairband.
Another school task was to create cubes using sticks.
After school and office work was done for the week, we put up two window screens which we received earlier in the day. They're made specifically to keep cats in but of course with the added benefit of keeping bugs out. They stick to the frame with strong hook and loop fastener (Velcro) and from a company called Flat Cats. We'll be able to remove them in the winter when we don't open the windows much and will then just have the white hook side of the velcro which is hardly noticeable. You can also have it in white mesh but we felt the grey mesh blocks less light and looks better, besides that the frame shows a bit more when it's up. But now we can open the windows wide and both us and Tabby can enjoy the fresh air while keeping Tabby safe. We've done two windows to try it out and might order more for some of the other windows.
Everyone on the window sill to clean the frame.
This is the mesh, so can be folded and packed away when not needed.
Velcro strips stuck on the frame.
Ahhhh! Feel that breeze!

Ek hoop Tabby weet hy mag nie die screens kou nie! Lyk goed!
