The Vyne

We had another lovely summers picnic at another National Trust site, The Vyne, this time while Andre's mum is visiting us. Andre once again got some great pictures of the girls.

She loves going up and down stairs or 'kappe' (trappe) as she calls it.

Sharing grapes.

Basildon Park

On Saturday we had a lovely day out to Basildon Park where we had a picnic with friends. It was a nice relaxing day, with good weather and well behaved toddlers. It made for some lovely photos too. Oh and our little toddler happened to be 19 months old on Saturday!

* All photos taken by André of course.

A Portrait a Week: 38/52 -Sunday walk at Dinton Pastures

This past weeks' portrait: Loving life!

We went for a walk on Sunday. Andre wanted to go check out some bird hides for a possible photography morning. Isabella hadn't been in the back carrier for quite a while and she was very very excited to be so high on her daddy's back for a walk outside. She was laughing and shrieking at everyone and everything we passed! She excitedly pointed out dogs and observed the ducks, geese and swans seriously with a "quack quack" to also let us know what they are.

We stopped  at this jetty for some photos and Isabella headed straight to the water. She would have waded in knee deep if we let her!

A lovely afternoon out in the fresh air.

Inside the bird hide.

Enjoying the ride.

The photo right at the top reminds me - I keep forgetting to tell the grandparents - Isabella has another two teeth! Her top right is quite a clear little white bit of tooth and if you look carefully the top left is also on its way out. Probably neither of them visible on the photo though.

Simply Porsche event at Beaulieu

Three weeks ago we went to a Porsche event at Beaulieu which is a national motor museum in the New Forest. We didn't actually visit the museum, but walked around admiring the Porsches (André mostly) and then enjoyed a stroll through the beautiful gardens. There is also a Palace House, apparently home of the Montagu family. You can go inside, but we didn't. And then there is the Beaulieu Abbey which was founded in 1204 by Cistercian Monks. Info from the website- with a baby on a hot day I didn't have the time or energy to gather any information while there myself! We mainly just enjoyed walking around. You can spend a whole day there. There is also a little train that goes along the tree tops which would be fun when Isabella is older.

"I think I'll have that one daddy."

Enjoying lunch

This is the sling we've been using for the past few months. It's called Scootababy and we're all loving it.

The beautiful gardens.

Trying to stick to the shade on such a hot day.
