Day 73 of lockdown

Wednesday, 3rd June 2020
Weather: Rainy

The weather has definitely changed. That hot summer sunshine has been replaced with the grey clouds we know so well and a light drizzle on and off all day. We've been so spoiled with such great weather for such a long time.

It's been a "chilling on the sofa" kind of day, watching the light rain.

Andre and Isabella have just gone out for a run on the field before bedtime now. We've been indoors the rest of the day, besides when we went out to take down the washing when the first drizzle started right after we'd hung it outside.

Isabella had a lovely catch-up via Zoom with a friend from school after dinner. She has been saying recently that she is missing school and asking when she can go back again. I think it's because she's been hearing that most year 1's have been able to go back, but her school is only taking nursery and reception children at the moment. She's not unhappy at home with us though. She demands and get's loads of attention.

The  rest of the day we:
- Cleaned most of the house.
- I got to paint my nails after having done Isabella's yesterday.
- School and office work of course.
- Andre and Isabella went strawberry picking. In our own garden. Isabella has asked when we can go strawberry picking at Grey's Farm again, a pick-your-own farm. We always enjoy visiting there. They might be open, I've not checked, but I don't feel like going out anywhere yet. It's become easier just staying at home.
- We did some sewing. Isabella wanted a different face mask and while I was doing that she made  herself a new eye mask too for sleeping. She's also started sewing a sleep mask for her Big Ted using felt.
- We played with Tabby who was super playful the first half of the day before taking his naps on the fish tank the rest of the day.
- And of course we continued playing Barbies.
