Day 71: Our very interesting day

Weather: Still hot and sunny!

Again I didn't take many photos, besides for Isabella's school work really. Here's what we did today:

- Morning exercises. Andre still does PE with Joe every morning. Isabella and I do blogilates exercises. Joe is just too intense for us. We don't need to work that hard!

- Andre moved his desk upstairs to the spare room. After 2 months downstairs and probably a week  before returning to the office!

- Andre then checked school work with Isabella and when I came to take over she had a picture to colour. I asked how colouring is school work and he said it's called 'Mindful Colouring'. I was happy to know the teachers were thinking of us mums when setting this task and made sure she completed the entire picture.

- So while Isabella was doing her mindful colouring I got to do a good chunk of work. She was still at the same table with me and made sure I paid attention throughout her mindful colouring by asking my opinion on every detail of her picture, but I managed to concentrate through it. Half way through she said she needed a break from colouring and actually played on her own, well mostly, for quite a while before coming back to the colouring. She did try to convince me that we should move on to the next school activity, but I reminded her how we are trying to complete one thing at a time in everything we do at the moment and how she would feel so much better if she can tick this one task off the list. 

- After both our first tasks were completed we rewarded ourselves with some garden time. 

- Then back to school work to complete one more task before lunch time. Maths this time: counting in 10's and continuing in 1's to find a total. Also writing numbers 1-100 in order and playing a game of snakes and ladders.

- Andre made us a salad for lunch and he and Isabella moved her bedroom around again.

- After lunch I went to the office and got to complete a few more tasks of my own which felt really  good! It's not often now that I get to work on my own in peace and quiet. Andre and Isabella completed school work while I was gone- history and English.

- After Andre finished work and Isabella had her dinner she went on a bike ride while we went for a brisk walk with her. I needed more movement than slow cycling.

- Andre has a new toy which I haven't posted on here about, but due to lack of anything else to show, this is it:

He needed a longer range...

And that was our day. Andre cooked dinner, risotto. I put Isabella to bed and then we watch Homeland each night, after we always say we're not going to as we stay up too late watching it and never get anything else done in the evenings.

Oh and Tabby was busy rearranging the rug by the back door this evening.
